Holistic Centre of Excellence at Glenstal We are thrilled to announce that the full-time diploma in Holistic Therapies will start this September at the Holistic Centre of Excellence in the wonderful setting of Glenstal Abbey in Murroe, Co Limerick, we truly couldn’t ask for a more appropriate setting, and the news has us buzzing all week. This is a unique course and the Holistic Centre of Excellence is the first to offer it in Ireland. Students will study over 20 Holistic modalities, and receive practitioner qualifications in 10, the course will run 5 days per week, and we have a highly qualified team of 12 tutors who are passionate about Holistic healing, as is evidenced by each of their busy private practices. Oh the sins of Xmas Chocolate! I can always count on the xmas chocolate to set my 1st new year’s resolution-so it’s back to the gym for me. There is no better time to set your goals for the New Year, but first you should take stock of all your successes in 2010, this will get you into a positive frame of mind. Then list them, yes, write them down, then break the goals down into smaller attainable steps, then get your diary and write into the beginning of each month/week what your goal for that week is. Spend some time imagining what it will be like when you have achieved these goals-this is VERY important. Also write each month what your reward will be to yourself as you achieve each step. The Girl Effect All of you who know me, will be well aware of the passion I feel towards the reversal of the historical oppression of females, and yet on the other hand Im not wanting to burn my bra-especially my new super-push-up one!! Those of you in the know will realise that the change this planet is going through right now is very dependent on a re-balancing of the male/female energy balance, you can witness this every day with the rise of females in traditional “male only” areas. A big thank you to Ballyhoura Developments Ltd, for inviting me to the beautiful Grove Health Spa in Shanballymore, Mallow, to give a talk on Holistic Health for the 21st Century last Wednesday.  Jacqueline O’Farrell extended a heartfelt Irish welcome to us with her fantastic facilities, not to mention the food!! The spa is fab and of course I had to check out the massage-now, now-it’s all in the line of duty and someone has to do it!!! My therapist Ber has a wonderful pair of hands, and I certainly was very relaxed going into the lecture.
